Sariska reports one more cub

Yesterday morning, pictures from camera traps revealed the presence of another cub at Sariska. This brings the total count of cubs at Sariska to two, with the first one being sighted in August of this year. These are the first cubs to be born at Sariska since the complete wipeout of tigers in 2005. Since the reintroduction of tigers in Sariska in 2008, three male tigers and three females have been moved there from Ranthambhore. Unfortunately, one male, ST1, was killed by villagers. With the sighting of this new cub, Sariska's tiger count now reaches seven, including two males, three females, and two cubs. Finally, Sariska is showing signs of recovery.
